Open Positions
Clinical Therapist - Arlington
The Clinical Therapist will be responsible for scheduling appointments for their designated Alliance For CHildren center and providing individual counseling services to child abuse victims and protective adult caregivers under general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor. Clinical services to be provided in-person and virtually.
Job Duties/Essential Functions:
Responsible for weekly reminder calls for both individual and group clients.
Provide Clinical Intakes and schedule appointments as required.
Provide Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy as appropriate.
Provide Parent Child Interaction Therapy as appropriate (if trained).
Provide individual counseling to clients at their designated center.
Responsible for completing client documentation within 48 hours of their session.
Complete monthly program and agency reports.
Supervise student interns on an as needed basis.
Lead or sub for groups on an as needed basis.
Other job duties as requested by immediate supervisor or Chief Executive Officer.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field with a current Texas license as an LMSW, LPC-A or LMFT-A: LCSW, LPC or LMFT preferred.
Must be familiar with TF-CBT and be knowledgeable of other EBP’s.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) abilities preferred.
Must possess strong communication and documentation skills.
Must have two years of experience working with child abuse victims in a clinical setting.
Must be comfortable leading groups in the absence of a contract therapist or if asked to take on and lead a weekly group.
Must be willing to conduct telemental health sessions as needed.
Must have valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance if driving for agency purposes.
Must successfully complete annual criminal and civil background checks.
Able to maintain confidentiality and present in a positive, professional manner at all times.
Able to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure of deadlines.
Regular and reliable attendance.

Physical Requirements:
Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, kneel, and twist on an intermittent and sometimes continuous basis.
Able to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers and reach overhead.
Able to operate a telephone and computer.
Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Moderate independent travel by private auto required.

Bilingual Clinical Assistant - Northeast, Part Time
The part time Clinical Assistant supports the clinical team at their designated center and is responsible for greeting clients as they enter the building, assisting them with any needs or questions that they may have and notifying the clinical members when their clients arrive.
Job Duties/Essential Functions:
Responsible for weekly reminder calls for both individual and group clients.
Ensure weekly appointment reminders are sent out properly.
Send letters to clients as needed.
Answer and document client phone calls in a timely manner.
Enter in-closed files in the Apricot 360 database program.
Occasionally support clients in the waiting area.
Route all subpoenas to their designated center.
Assemble monthly graduation baskets and print graduation certificates.
Enter in closed files in the Access program.
Responsible for entering weekly group attendance.
Supervise volunteers on an as needed basis.
Be responsible for subpoenas at their designated center.
Other job duties as requested by immediate supervisor or Chief Executive Officer.
- Hours of position are 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Monday - Thursday.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
High School or GED.
Bilingual: English/Spanish required.
Two years of relative work experience.
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, some knowledge of PowerPoint, and be familiar with virtual platforms.
Strong communication skills; be a team player.
Strong organizational skills; self-starter.

General Internships
Interns who work at Alliance For Children not only work in a therapeutic setting, but can also be given the opportunity to work closely with law enforcement, the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. *Alliance For Children internships are not paid, and employment is not guaranteed upon successful completion.

General Internship Requirements:
• All applicants must submit a resume, complete an application and provide three (3) professional references.
• All interns must pass a criminal, DFPSs, and sex offender registry background check.
• Students must be willing to work some evenings and weekends and be able to provide their own transportation amongst all three Alliance For Children locations.
• All interns will attend specific training for their placement as well as child sexual abuse prevention training prior to working with clients.
• Students must commit to one semester at Alliance For Children.
• Students must commit to 15 hours each week.
• Students will agree to participate in weekly supervision with their supervisor.

Clinical Therapy Internship
Alliance For Children also offers Clinical Therapy Internships within our Clinical Program. In addition to the above General Internship Requirements, this department-specific internship also requires that:
• Applicants must be enrolled in a master’s level degree in social work, counseling or a related field.
• Students must have completed practicum and coursework in counseling theories prior to placement.
• Interns must be willing to work with clients of all ages in a therapeutic and/or group setting.
• Must attend a monthly Clinical Team meeting.
• Students must commit to two semesters at Alliance For Children.
