Christmas Adopt-A-Family Program
Each year, Alliance For Children assists hundreds of children and their families during the holidays by providing clothing, shoes, toys, & stockings. Local businesses, civic organizations, & individuals agree to “adopt” a family and provide clothing and toys for each child in the family. Alliance For Children staff provide participating organizations with detailed information regarding a family’s needs and attempt to match the organization’s level of commitment to the needs of the family. Available families vary in size from 2 members to 12+ members. Due to the confidential nature of our business, participating organizations are not provided with family names, phone numbers, or addresses. The organization agrees to deliver the donations to an Alliance For Children center in early December. Alliance For Children distributes the items to the families. Organizations may choose to provide more for a family if they have the available resources and may also adopt more than one family. Groups have the option of providing filled, age-appropriate, stockings, host a toy drive, or host a wrapping paper drive to assist with the program.
